Haha... I'd really love to see how England performs against Canada and Kenya ;-)... Hopefully they have a game coming their way?!? (not so much a mental boost though... :-D)

i think pakistan has really good chances if they get the pace attack togather
tellitlikeitis- 02-15-2007
Pakistan just got crushed!!!!!!!!
BillyBoy- 02-15-2007
In south africa...everyone gets crushed their...pitches in westindies is a total diff ball game dude
tellitlikeitis- 02-16-2007
The pitches in the West Indies have all been dug up and relaid... no one knows what they are going to do. I hope for the sub continent sake that they dont bounce. cause then the world cup will go to South Africa or Australia. If the pitches are fast with a moderate bounce SA, Aus, England or New Zealand
all have a shot. If they are slow and low then India, Pakistan, West indies or Sri Lanka will hoist it.

Canada might give Kenya a game. Then they are coming home. After Bond cracks a few skulls

u guyz still think anyone can beat england after they beat australia 3 times straight one or two could be a fluke but three straight i doubt it
tellitlikeitis- 02-18-2007
While the aussies rested players.
Cmon I watched the tests and the one dayers... england have a shot but are behind South Africa and Australia. Without Peterson the will not hoist the cup. If he is in their chances get much better.
BillyBoy- 02-18-2007
well against england they didnt have anyone rested and now against new zealand they did have their bats men rested but their whole bowlin line up was playin while they couldnt defend 336
tellitlikeitis- 02-20-2007
Cmon, England were shocking in Australia. And New Zealand just beat Australia 3 times in a row WHILE THEY ALSO HAD PLAYERS OUT. England stumbled into the finals in Australia for the one day series and managed to win while Australia had injury problems. Did they play well to win? Yes they did. Did they deserve to win those geames? yes they did. Are they favourites for the world cup ?? Hell no!!
South Africa are deserving favourites, they have been thrashing sides in the one day game for a long time. Both at home and away. Are they going to win the world cup?? Maybe maybe not.... the team that can get on a hot streak in the tournament wins. Simple as that. The pitches will decise which teams have the best chance of getting hot and winning 10 or 11 games sraight.
New zealand had Bond Oram and Vettori out in this last game and they chased down 347... I watched it... they didnt win by accident. Why dont we name New Zealand as favourites seeing as they whitewashed australia for the first time in history???
Did I mention South Africa chased 438 against Autralia and won recently??? The highest score in one day history belongs to the team batting second against ASTRALIA. That was when Australia were crushing everyone in sight. My point isnt to say England are not up there. It's to show that there are other teams who have beaten up Australia just like England have.

i've looked at the schedualin i'm predictin AUS, SA, PAK, and WI to be in the semies anythin beyond that is unpredictable

I dont think england had much of a shot, they are a pro team, they played well, they got on streak and luck was on their side too. thats all, they are not candidates to win the world cup.
Australia, SA, India and NZ are in the best position i feel. WI has a shot if they have the dont no where the ball is going kinda pitches, where batsman are not sure if its going over their heads or rolling on the ground after it bounces. funny west indian wicket

Seems like Lee's out of the world cup for the aussies... that's a big blow for them, specially after the trashing by the kiwis. I think their chances for this world cup are getting slimmer and slimmer....
